Steps to Link Aadhaar card to Bank of Baroda Savings Account

With the Government of India mandating the linking of one's Aadhaar card to a number of services involving financial institutions, banks, mobile operators, etc., linking of one's Aadhaar card details to their savings account is imperative. Citizens can link their 12-digit unique identification number either online, offline (at the bank), via SMS, or at any ATM.

Bank of Baroda can link their Aadhaar card to their bank account by clicking on the new "update Aadhaar" feature on the bank's online banking portal. The page will then be redirected. The customer has to enter his bank account number and registered mobile number and then click on "generate OTP". Enter the OTP and click on submit to link your Aadhaar to your bank account. 

Here are more details about Aadhar card linking to Bank of Baroda savings account online: 

  1. To link Aadhar to savings account of Bank of Baroda login to your internet banking account 
  1. After logging into your account, click on ‘Update Aadhar’ option 
  2. Enter your registered mobile number along with Bank of Baroda account number 
  3. Receive the OTP on registered mobile number by clicking on ‘Generate OTP’ 
  4. Click on ‘Submit’ after entering the OTP to complete the process 

The message- ‘Your request for Aadhaar linking is accepted and it will be seeded with your account within few days’, will be displayed on the screen. Confirmation messages will be sent via SMS on your registered mobile number. 

For customers that do not have a Bank of Baroda net banking account, they can link their account at the Bank of Baroda branch holding their savings account or at the nearest bank branch.

  1. Visiting the branch 

The following are the steps to link Aadhar to savings account of Bank of Baroda by visiting the branch in-person: 

  1. Visit your nearest Bank of Baroda branch 
  1. Request the bank representative for seeding Aadhar with savings account 
  2. Fill in the form with vital information, such as Aadhar number, registered mobile number, email ID 
  3. Submit the form and keep the original Aadhar card ready for verification 

Confirmation on successful linking of Aadhar with savings account will be sent on the registered mobile number of the account holder, after two to three working days. 

  1. Mobile application 

Aadhar number can be linked to Bank of Baroda savings account using the bank’s M-Connect Plus mobile application. Download the application from Play Store (Android devices), App Store (iOS devices), or Windows Store (for Windows) and activate the account. Submit the Aadhar linking request after account activation. 

Linking Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda Account through SMS

To link your Aadhaar with your Bank of Baroda account via SMS, send a message from your registered mobile number to 8422009988 in this format:

UID <space> 12-digit Aadhaar Number <space> last 4 digits of your account number

For example, if your Aadhaar is 1234567890987 and your account number ends in 8765, send: UID 1234567890987 8765

Your Aadhaar will be linked within two working days, and you'll receive a confirmation SMS upon successful seeding.

Linking Aadhaar with Bank of Baroda Account by Visiting the Bank

Aadhaar can be linked with your bank account by visiting the bank as well. The account holder can do it easily by following these steps:

  • Visit the home branch of your bank where the account is being maintained
  • Fill the Aadhaar Seeding form. This form can be taken from the bank or downloaded as well from https://bankofbaroda.com/writereaddata/Images/pdf/consent-for-aadhar-seeding-form.pdf
  • Enter your Aadhaar number, bank details, your name as mentioned in your Aadhaar card, etc.
  • Submit this form along with the self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card and bank account’s passbook
  • You may be asked to furnish your original Aadhaar card for verification purposes
  • Once your form is accepted, you will be handed over the receipt
  • Your bank account will be linked with your Aadhaar within two working days
  • A confirmation SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number

Note: Linking Aadhar to Bank of Baroda savings account is not possible through ATM, as the service is currently unavailable.
