UTIITSL is the UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited, which was established in 1993. The company is one of the largest financial service providers in the country.

It was formerly known as UTITSL, UTI Technology Services Limited. The company is Government-owned and provides technology and outsourcing services to the Government and Financial sectors of India. 

PAN Card Services Offered by UTIITSL

UTIITSL provides PAN Card services that include application, tracking, verification and corrections.

New PAN Card Application on UTIITSL

To apply for a new PAN Card on UTIITSL, simply visit the website. Access the application form available for Indian Residents (Form 49A). Read the instructions carefully before filling in the form.

New PAN Card Application for Indian Residents

Indian residents can opt for two methods of applying for a PAN Card. You can either fill in the form, make the payment online, and then print and sign the form. You will have to submit the form by mail  to the UTIITSL office. Alternatively you can use a digital signature and apply directly online.

1. Process using Regular Signature If you do not have a digital signature, you will be required to fill out the form, make the payment online and then submit the printed form, signed with photos affixed, and copies of your documents to the UTIITSL office. Filling in Form 49A.The form is available on the UTIITSL website. Provide the following information in the form:

  1. Your full name
  2. The name you desire on the card
  3. Gender
  4. Date of birth
  5. Details of parents
  6. Residential Address
  7. Office Address
  8. Telephone number
  9. Email ID
  10. AADHAAR number (if it has been allotted to you)
  11. Source of Income
  12. Details of the Representative
  13. Select the documents you wish to provide as proof of identity, date of birth and address.
  14. You can then declare if what you've stated in the form is true.

2. Process using Digital Signature You can submit scanned copies of your documents, signature and photo and complete your application online using this option on the UTIITSL website. When filling Form 49A provide the following information in the form: On successful payment, the applicant must save or print out the filled-in application form. In case of a "Failure" prompt, you can cancel the transaction, or retry making the payment. In case you lose your filled in application, you can regenerate the form online under the option "Regenerate Online PAN Application". You need to enter your 10-digit application number and submit it.

  1. Your full name

  4. Date of birth
  5. Details of your parent's Residential Address
  6. Office Address
  7. Telephone number
  8. Email ID
  9. AADHAAR number (if it has been allotted to you)
  10. Source of Income Details of the Representative Assessed
  11. Select the documents you wish to provide as proof of identity, date of birth and address.
  12. You will be required to select digital copies of your documents and upload them to the website.
  13. You can also fetch your files from the Digilocker if you have one. 
  14. You can then declare if what you've stated in the form is true.
  15. You can then upload your photo. It should be scanned in 300 dpi, color, 213x213 px. The file should not exceed 30kb.
  16. You can upload your signature scan in 600 dpi, black and white. The size of the file should not exceed 60 kb.

New PAN Card Application for Foreign Citizens

Foreign citizens can apply for PAN Cards through UTIITSL. The service is available to individuals and organizations. Individuals who have foreign citizenship, or are overseas citizens or of Indian origin can apply. Organizations such as Private companies, Public companies, Body Corporates, Financial Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations and Charitable Organizations can apply.

Filling in Form 49AA

The form available for foreign citizens is Form 49AA. Provide the following information in the form:

  1. Your full name
  2. The name you desire on the card.
  3. Gender
  4. Date of birth
  5. Details of parents
  6. Residential Address
  7. Office Address
  8. Telephone number
  9. Email ID
  10. Select your country of citizenship and provide the ISD code of the country.
  11. Source of Income
  12. Details of the Representative or agent of the applicant in India
  13. Select the documents you wish to provide as proof of identity and address.
  14. For foreign institutional investors, or qualified foreign investors, and additional section must be filled in called "KYC Details".
    1. In the case of individuals, you must fill in your marital status citizenship status, and occupational details.
    2. In the case of non-individuals, you must fill in what kind of organization you fall under.
    3. Provide your gross annual income.
    4. If you are a public company, you must state whether you are listed on a stock exchange and which stock exchange.
    5. In the case of non-individuals, you must mention  whether a few people or people of the same family hold beneficial control and ownership.
    6. You must also state if the entity is involved in any Foreign exchange, Money Changer Services, Gaming/Gambling/Lottery services (Casino and Betting Syndicate), Money Lending, and Pawning.
    7. You must also state if the applicant is a politically exposed person, or related to one.

Submitting Form 49AA for UTIITSL PAN Application

While submitting the form, be sure to click on "submit" only once. The filled-in form will be displayed on the screen for the applicant to verify and ensure it is correct.

The applicant can then go ahead and make the payment of INR 989 through any of the gateway options provided. The payment gateways provided are Bill Desk and Pay India.

Applicants can use any of the following payment modes to make the payment,

  1. Net-banking
  2. Credit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
  3. Debit Card (MasterCard and Visa)
  4. Cash Card
  5. Any other option that is available on the payment gateway site

On successful payment, the applicant must save or print out the filled-in application form.

In case of a "Failure" prompt, you can cancel the transaction, or retry making the payment.

In case you lose your filled in application, you can regenerate the form online under the option "Regenerate Online PAN Application". You need to enter your 10-digit application number and submit it.

Post Payment Procedure on UTIITSL Portal

  1. After making the payment, you need to print the form. This form will be endorsed with "Payment confirmation".
  1. Affix two photographs on the form. Both photos should be the same and should be 3.5cmx2.5cm in size.

         Three signatures are required  for the following positions:

                  1.Sign across the affixed photograph on the left-hand box,

                 2.Sign below the photo in the space provided on the right-hand box.             

                 3.Turn to page 2 and sign in the space provided in the bottom right-hand box.

  1. Attach a copy of the documents you are submitting as proof of identity, date of birth and address.
  1. The form, along with documents must be submitted and sent to the nearest UTIITSL office. Offices are located in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and New Delhi.
  1. The PAN Card will be dispatched to the address you have listed for communication. The fee charged is inclusive of dispatching the card to a foreign address.

Change or Correction in PAN Card on UTIITSL

In case you require any changes to be made to your PAN Card, you can request these changes online on the UTIITSL website. The form required is the CSF Form.

Filling out the CSF Form For PAN Correction on UTIITSL

You can choose between two forms: Regular and Digital Signature.

On both forms, all details must be filled in. But for each detail required in the form, you have the option to tick a box with a red border. This indicates that this is the detail that requires a change or correction. Provide the following information in the form:

  1. Your PAN Card number.
  2. Your full name
  3. The name you desire on the card.
  4. Gender
  5. Date of birth
  6. Details of parents
  7. You can opt for photo mismatch or signature mismatch, if that is the change you desire.
  8. Select your address for communication - Residential Address or Office Address
  9. If you need to update your address, you can opt for an additional sheet which will drop down for you to fill in your information.
  10. Enter your AADHAR number
  11. Mention PAN numbers inadvertently allotted to you.
  12. Verify the information you have filled in the form.
  13. Select the documents you wish to provide as proof of identity and address.
  14. You also need to provide the following PAN proof:
    1. Copy of FIR
    2. Copy of PAN Card
    3. Copy of PAN allotment number
  15. For digital signature forms:
    1. Select the documents you wish to provide as proof of identity, date of birth and address. You will be required to select  digital copies of your documents and upload them to the website. You can also fetch your files from the Digilocker if you have one.
    2. You can then upload your photo. It should be scanned in 300 dpi, color, 213x213 px. The file should not exceed 30kb.

Submitting the CSF Form and Payment

As this is a request to make corrections on the PAN Card, no charges have been mentioned by UTIITSL.

  1. For digital signature forms, this section can be ignored.
  1. You need to print the form. This form will be endorsed with "Payment confirmation".

Different Kinds of UTIITSL PAN Cards

A PAN card is issued to every tax payer and tax paying entity, both individuals and companies. There are different kinds of UTIITSL PAN Cards:

  1. UTIITSL PAN Cards for companies

For all organizations, the PAN Card which is issued has the name of the company and the entity's registration date. There will be no photographs on PAN Cards issued to companies.

  1. UTIITSL PAN Cards for individuals

For all individuals, the PAN Card will serve the Income Tax department to calculate the total tax amount

  1. UTIITSL PAN Cards for foreigners

All foreigners who want to undertake any business in India, can hold a PAN Card. This can be done by filling in form 49AA and submitting the same.

Track PAN Card Application Status on UTIITSL

In order to track your PAN Card application status, you must have your application number. Make note of the number on your application form. To track your PAN Card status, you can follow the steps below:
