1. Visit the official website of  Protean eGov Technologies Limited website. 

1. Scroll down and click on the option ‘Apply for PAN’. 

1. Select the mode for submitting the documents from the three options given. 

1. Under ‘PAN Application Type', select Indian Citizen Form 49A. 

1. Fill in further details such as name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number. 

1. Click on submit and a token number will be generated which you need to note down. 

1. On the next page, fill in the personal and contact details. 

1. Click on ‘Next Button’ and provide the AO (Assessing Officer) details. 

How to Apply for a TIN NSDL PAN Card Online as a Foreign Resident?

Foreign citizens can use Form 49AA available on the TIN Protean eGov Technologies Limited website. Companies, firms and so on, who do not have an office in India, should also use this form. The form can be filled online.

Provide the following details in the PAN Card application form.`

1. AO Code
2. Full name
3. Abbreviations of the above name, as you would like it, to be printed on the card
   
4. Gender
5. Date of birth/ incorporation/agreement/partnership or trust deed/formation of body of individuals/association of persons
6. Details of parents (applicable to individuals only)
7. Address - residential and office
8. In case the applicant provides an Indian office address, certain documents are required.
9. Address for communication. 'R' means Residence and 'O' means Office.
10. Telephone number and e-mail id
11. Status of applicant
12. Registration number
13. Source of income
14. Name and address of representative assessee
15. Country of citizenship
16. ISD code of country of citizenship
17. Proof of identity and address
18. Other details: depository account
19. Signature/ left thumb impression

Reprint NSDL PAN Card Online

A new PAN Card can be issued for two reasons:

1. You require a duplicate PAN Card.
2. You require changes to be made to your PAN Card details.

For this, you can fill up the PAN Card Change/Correction Request Form online. The form is available to Indian and foreign citizens. PAN Card applicants must fill in all mandatory fields marked with an asterisk. For the fields that require pan card correction, you must tick the corresponding box to indicate that this is the change required. If you do not require any changes in the pan card, you can fill in the field without ticking any boxes.

How to Fill NSDL PAN Card Corrections/Changes Form Online?

Provide the following details in the PAN Card application form.

1. Full name
2. Name as you desire on the card
3. Gender
4. Date of birth / incorporation / agreement / partnership or trust deed / formation of body of individuals / association of persons
5. Details of parents (applicable to individuals only)
6. Photo Mismatch
7. Signature Mismatch
8. Address for communication.
9. Update other address
10. Telephone number and e-mail id
11. Aadhaar number (in case of 'individual' category)
12. Any other PAN that has been allotted to you

How to Submit PAN Card Correction Form Online on NSDL?

If you want to update or correct details on your PAN card, you can easily do so online through the official Protean (formerly NSDL) PAN portal by following the steps given below: 

1. Go to the official Protean PAN website. 

1. Navigate to the option ‘Change/ Correction in PAN Data’ and click on ‘Apply Now’. 

1. In ‘Application type’, choose ‘Changes or Correction in existing PAN Data/Reprint of PAN Card’  

1. Fill in the further application form by providing details such as name, email ID, mobile number, and captcha code. 

1. You will get a token number in your email. 

1. On the next page, click on the option ‘Submit digitally through e-KYC & e-Sign (Paperless)’. 

1. Scroll down, and if you need a new physical copy of the updated PAN Card, then select ‘yes’. 

1. Enter the last four digits of your Aadhaar number and the updated details that you want to change. 

1. Upload the updated documents and attach your photograph and signature. 

1. Click on submit and pay the required fees. 

1. To complete the PAN Card update/correction process, click ‘continue' and then complete the KYC process. 

1. An OTP will be sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and submit the online PAN application form. 

1. On the next page, click on ‘continue’ with eSign. 

1. Enter your Aadhaar number, and an OTP will be sent again. 

1. Fill in the OTP to download the acknowledgement form, and the password to open this file is your date of birth in the format DD/MM/YYYY. 

Note: If you choose the option ‘Forward application documents physically’, then you will have to take a printout of the acknowledgement and send it with the required documents at the address NSDL office via post. The address is - Income Tax PAN Services Unit, Protean eGov Technologies Limited, 4th Floor, Sapphire Chambers, Baner Road, Baner, Pune – 411045.

For delivering PAN Cards within India, the fee is Rs.110 (processing fee of Rs.93 plus 18% Goods & service tax).

Track Your PAN Card Application Status on NSDL

On the Protean eGov Technologies Limited website, you can track your PAN Card application status as well as your payment status.

1. To track your Protean eGov Technologies Limited PAN Card application status, you can click on "Track your PAN/ TAN Application Status" under PAN Cards.
2. Select your application type.
3. Enter your PAN Card acknowledgment number.
4. Enter your name and date of birth.
5. Click on submit to view your status.

The information you provide should be as mentioned in the application form. For non-individuals, you can fill in the name in the slot for surname. You can search for your status using your name and date of birth after 24 hours of application.

Check the Status of PAN Card Application Payment

By following the steps given below, you can check the status of PAN Card application payment: 

Step 1 - Find out the status of your payment, by clicking on "Know Your PAN Card Status Transaction for Online Application".

Step 2 - Enter either your Transaction number or PAN Card Acknowledgment number.

Step 3 - Enter your name.

Step 4 - Enter your date of birth.

Step 5 - Click on "Show status" to view your transaction status.

Step 6 - Your transaction number will be displayed on the screen when you pay through Credit Card, Debit card or Net banking.
