Banks usually do not charge any additional fees on electricity bill payment but may charge a convenience fee depending on the bank policy.   1. Open the Mobile Banking App: Launch the mobile banking app on your smartphone and log in using your credentials (PIN, password, or biometric authentication).
  1. Go to Bill Payments: Navigate to the "Bill Payments" or "Payments" section, typically found in the app's main menu or dashboard.

  1. Enter Consumer Details: Input your consumer ID, account number, or any other required details as mentioned on your electricity bill.

  4. Biller location: Select the location from the dropdown menu and select the biller and then click on ‘Next’. .
  5. Enter Consumer Details: Input your consumer ID/account number, mobile number and transaction account number, and then click on ‘Next’.
  6. Review the page: The page will display the biller's name, customer ID, billing period, amount, transaction account number, etc. 
  7. Verify the Bill Amount: Ensure the bill amount and due date are correct.
  8. Choose Payment Method: Select your bank account or UPI for payment.
  9. OTP verification: Enter the OTP received on the mobile number and click on ‘Submit’. 
  10. Complete Payment: Confirm and enter your PIN to finalize the payment.

2. HDFC Bank

  1. Download and log into the PayZapp using your credentials. 
  1. Select the Bill Pay option and select ‘Electricity’ from the list. 
  1. Select the biller from the dropdown menu. 
  1. Add the CA number and click on ‘Continue’. 
  1. The bill details will be retrieved or else you can also add manually. 
  1. Confirm the details and make payment as per your preferred payment mode.

  1. Download the iMobile app from Google Play or App Store. 
  1. Launch the iMobile app: Log in using your PIN or fingerprint.

  1. Select Biller: Choose your biller’s name under the All Biller dropdown menu.
