Step 3: After clicking on the link, a page containing the link to the electoral roll of all the state will open. Click on the state from where you are registered as a voter.

Step 4: After clicking on the state in which you reside, you will see a list of districts that belong to that state. Click on the district in which you reside.

Step 5: After clicking on the name of the district, you will see a list of AC names on the page. Click on the AC name from which you are registered to vote.

Step 6: Next, you will see a list of polling stations belonging to that AC. Select the option 'Final Roll' next to your polling station.

Step 7:  You should be able to see the voting list and download voter ID.

How to Check your Name on Electoral Roll by ‘Search by Details’ ?

Given below are the steps to search for your name on the Electoral Roll by using the ‘Search by Details’ option: 

1. Click on the link https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ and choose the ‘Search by Details’ option. 

1. In the next step, enter the details as required such as your name, date of birth, relatives' detail, location details, etc. 
2. Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Search’. 
3. You will be able to view whether your name is on the voter list or not. 

How to Check your Name on Voter List by ‘Search by Mobile’ ?

Given below are the steps to search for your name on the voter list by using the ‘Search by Mobile’ option: 

1. Click on the link https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/ and choose the ‘Search by Mobile’ option. 
2. In the next step, enter your mobile number and click on ‘Send OTP’. It will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP in the box provided.  
3. Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Search’. 
4. You will be able to view whether your name is on the voter list or not. 

How to Check your Name on Electoral Roll Online?

It is important to check if your name is on the voter list or not. To check your name on voter list online, follow the steps mentioned below - 

Step 1: Open the official website of Election Commission of India.

Step 2:  On the homepage, select the ‘Search your Name in Electoral Roll’ option.

Step 3: Enter your details after selecting the search option.

Step 4: The result will be displayed on screen.

How to Search your Name on the Voter List by EPIC Number?

Follow the steps mentioned below to search your name on the voter list through your EPIC number - 

Step 1: Open the official website of Election Commission of India.

Step 2: In the box, type the EPIC number and then the state you live in.

Step 3: Type the code that appears in the captcha image after that.

Step 4: You will be able to see your name below the submit button if it is on the voters' list; otherwise, there is a very good likelihood that your name is not in the voter list.

Importance of the Voter List

1. The electoral roll is a document that lists the names of registered voters for a particular constituency.
2. In the electoral roll, there is no discrimination against anyone on any parameter. The document also ensures that the election process is carried out in a procedural manner.
3. The list also ensures that if your name is not present on the list, you will be denied the right to vote.
4. The updating process in the voters' list is also important as all those people who have turned 18 years of age are eligible to vote, provided they have their names added to the list. The names of people who are deceased but still have their names on the voters' list will be removed.
5. The updation process of electoral rolls also confirms that no fake voters have been included in the list. This has proved to be a major problem in the past.

4. Signature sample
