Step 3: In Form 6, you will have to provide information like place of birth, spouse’s name, parent’s name, age, current address and also the details of other family members whose names have already been included in the electoral roll.

How to Apply for Voter ID Offline in Jharkhand?

If you are not familiar with the online process of applying for a new voter ID or would like to file a Voter ID application in person, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: You can apply for a Voter ID offline by visiting the nearest Election Office in Jharkhand and collecting Form 6. Fill out the form carefully with accurate details such as your full name, place of birth, parent’s or spouse’s name, residential address, taluk and constituency, along with information about any family members already listed in the electoral roll. 

Step 2: Do note that, based on whether you are applying for a new voter ID or making changes to an existing one, you will need to submit the appropriate form.  

Step 3: You need to submit Form 6 along with the required documents, which include proof of address, proof of age, and a passport-sized photograph. Step 2: Collect a copy of Form EPIC 002 from an electoral office or download a copy of the form from the website of the Electoral Officer, Jharkhand. 

Step 3: Fill in the form and submit the form and supporting documents to the electoral office. 

Step 4: On successful verification of the application, the duplicate voter ID card will be sent to your address. 

Types of Election Forms:

The Election Commission of Jharkhand has a number of forms listed on the website that correspond to different purposes. The list of forms available and the purpose of each is mentioned below:

Form 6- Application for Inclusion of Name in Electoral Roll.

Form 7- Application for Objection/Deletion of Name in Electoral Roll.

How to Track Voter ID Status Online in Jharkhand?

Applicants can now track the voter ID status of their application online through the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand. Applicants can visit the website and find the current status of their application by following the steps mentioned below: 

1. Visit the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand and click on the 'Track Your Application Status' link on the homepage. 

1. Select your district from the options provided in the drop down menu and then select your assembly constituency, followed by the form type (for example, Form 6/7/8/8A). 

1. Enter the date and submit the information. 

1. The current status of your application will be displayed on screen.

Step 3: On successful verification of the application, the details will be corrected and a new voter ID card will be dispatched containing the changed information. 

Process of Change of Address in Voter ID Online in Jharkhand:

Voter ID cardholders who have moved residence need not apply for a new voter ID card in their new constituency. Instead, they can opt to have their name transposed from the electoral roll of the former residence to the new one. 

An online application can be submitted to this effect, with the process mentioned below: 

Step 1: On the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, click on the 'Online Registration for EPIC' option from the ones mentioned on the left hand menu on the homepage. 

Step 2: In the new window that opens, click on the 'National Voters' Service Portal' option and click on the 'Correction of entries in electoral roll' tab from the options provided. 

Step 3: Select form 8-A from among the form provided and fill in the form. 

Step 4: Upload supporting documents such as the documentary proof of the current residence and submit the form. 

Step 5: On verification of the information, the changes will be made and a new voter ID card will be dispatched with the relevant information changed. 

Process of Change of Address in Voter ID Offline in Jharkhand:

Voter ID cardholders can also choose to change their address as mentioned in their voter ID cards offline by following the process mentioned below: 

Step 1: Visit an electoral office and collect a copy of Form 8-A or download the form from the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand. 

Step 2: Fill in the form and submit it to the electoral office along with the supporting documents. 

Step 3: After the verification of the application is completed successfully, the information will be changed and a voter ID card with the corrected information will be dispatched.
