Step 1: You need to visit the Chief Election Office official website in Jharkhand to apply for a voter ID online in Jharkhand. If you are a new user, on the homepage, you will be prompted to register. Enter your name and email ID, and your login credentials will be sent to your registered mobile number via SMS.

Step 4: You will also have to upload all necessary documents on the site including photographs and KYC documents. 

Step 5: After completing the form and uploading the required documents, submit your application. A reference number will be generated, which you can use to track the status of your Voter ID application. 

Step 6: Once the submission is successful, your application will be reviewed. A Booth Level Officer (BLO) will visit your residence to verify the provided details. After successful verification and approval, you will receive your voter ID card at your registered residential address.

How to Apply for Voter ID Offline in Jharkhand?

If you are not familiar with the online process of applying for a new voter ID or would like to file a Voter ID application in person, follow the steps given below:

Step 1: You can apply for a Voter ID offline by visiting the nearest Election Office in Jharkhand and collecting Form 6. Fill out the form carefully with accurate details such as your full name, place of birth, parent’s or spouse’s name, residential address, taluk and constituency, along with information about any family members already listed in the electoral roll. 

Step 2: Do note that, based on whether you are applying for a new voter ID or making changes to an existing one, you will need to submit the appropriate form.  

Step 3: You need to submit Form 6 along with the required documents, which include proof of address, proof of age, and a passport-sized photograph. How to Apply for Duplicate Voter ID in Jharkhand?

Step 1: In case of theft or loss, file an FIR (First Information Report) at a local police station. The FIR should mention that the voter ID card was lost/misplaced, thus the need to apply for a duplicate.

Step 1: On the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, click on the 'Online Registration for EPIC' option from the ones mentioned on the left hand menu on the homepage. 

Step 2: In the new window that opens, click on the 'National Voters' Service Portal' option and click on the 'Correction of entries in electoral roll' tab from the options provided.
