Features of Digital Voter ID 

The following are some of the significant features of digital voter ID cards: 

1. You can carry this digitally by storing it in DigiLocker 
2. Scanning the QR code, the registered user can download the PDF version of the digital voter card on their mobile device 
3. You can also opt for the hard copy of the voter ID if you do not prefer the digital version of it 
4. To avoid delay in receiving the card, the Election Commission of India introduced the download option of e-EPIC card 
5. Digital voter ID saves time as you need not to visit the government office to apply for voter ID card application 
6. You will be eligible for e-EPIC if you cast your vote for the first time, thereby ensuring all your data are safe 
7. e-EPIC is available from February 2021 for all the individuals who have linked their mobile number with Election Commission of India 
8. In case of shifting to a new city, applying for new card is not required, rather address can be updated online, and digital version can be downloaded 

Digital Voter ID Card Registration 

Digital Voter ID cards can only be downloaded if you have registered yourself. Here are the steps to register for digital voter ID card: 

1. Visit the official website of National Voters Services Portal (NSVP) website 
2. Click on the ‘Sign-Up’ 

1. Enter the mobile number, email address and captcha code 
2. Click ‘Continue’ 
3. Enter the following details: 

1. First Name 
2. Last Name 
3. Password 
4. Confirm Password 

1. Click the ‘Request OTP’ 
2. Enter the OTP (One Time Password) received on your mobile number and email ID 
3. Click on ‘Verify’ 
4. Once registered on the portal, you can log into the portal using your mobile number and password 

How to Apply for Digital Voter ID Card Online? 

The following are the steps to apply for digital voter ID card online: 

1. Visit the official website of National Voters Services Portal (NSVP) website 
2. Enter all the credentials 
3. Click on ‘Login’ 
4. Enter the captcha and request for OTP 
5. Enter the OTP and login 
6. Under the ‘New registration for general electors’ tab, click on ‘Fill Form 6’ button after logging in 
7. This application form is for the new voters which will appear on the screen

The following are the steps to check the status of digital voter ID card: 

1. Visit the official website of National Voters Services Portal (NSVP) website

3. To track the status of Voter ID application, click on ‘Track Application Status’ option   
4. Enter the ‘Reference Number’ 
5. Select your state 
6. Click on ‘Submit’

Step 2:  Click on 'Please click here to download e-EPIC'.

Step 3: Enter the username, password, and captcha on the next page.

Step 4:  Click on 'Login'.

Step 5:  You will be able to download the e-EPIC on the next page.

How to Complete Your KYC for Digital Voter ID?

The following are the steps to complete the candidate’s e-KYC: 

1. Login or register on National Voter’s Service Portal (NVSP) 
2. Click on ‘Download e-EPIC' 

1. Click on KYC link to complete the KYC process 
2. Complete the face liveliness verification by turning on the camera of the device (mobile, TAB, laptop, or desktop) 
3. Finally, update the mobile number to complete the e-KYC process
