TS e Challan

Due to a rapid increase in traffic rule violations in Telangana, the traffic police in the state have started issuing e-challan to traffic rule breakers. The New Motor Vehicles Act of 2019 states that the amount of an e-challan depends on how serious the violation was and can be anywhere from Rs.500 and Rs.10,000.

How to Pay Traffic Challans Online and Offline

Online 

The different ways to pay the e-challan online are mentioned below:

Through ParivahanIf you receive a TS traffic e challan, you can pay the fine using the Parivahan website. To successfully pay your TS challan via the Parivahan website, follow the procedure mentioned below:

  1. Visit the official website of Parivahan at https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in/index/accused-challan. 
  2. Type in the vehicle registration number, driving licence (DL) number, or Telangana Challan number.  
  3. After entering the captcha code, select ‘Get Detail’.  
  4. Check the offence's specifics and the TS e challan status right now.  
  5. Pay the traffic fine by going through the payment process.  
  6. You will receive confirmation and transaction ID if the payment is successful.

Offline 

If you want to pay your eChallan through offline method, follow the procedure mentioned below: 

  1. Go to the nearest traffic police station with a copy of your Telangana echallan.  
  2. Contact the designated agencies in charge of traffic fine collection.  
  3. Pay the fine in money. You might also ask the authorities to look into any outstanding fines (if any) and pay them right away.

Through Parivahan  

If you receive a TS traffic e challan, you can pay the fine using the Parivahan website. To successfully pay your TS challan via the Parivahan website, follow the steps listed below:

How to Check Telangana Traffic Challan Status

  2. You will get the notice "Challan Not Found" if there are no TS traffic e challans filed against your car.

  • What happens if I receive 12 traffic citations in Telangana within two years?

    Any driver whose licence has accrued more than 12 points for moving violations in two years will have it suspended for at least one year. 

  • Is it possible to pay Telangana eChallan online?

    Yes. You can use the Parivahan portal or go to the Telangana traffic police's official website. Additionally, Paytm may be used to pay for Telangana's e-challan. 

  • Is there a deadline for TS eChallan payments?

    Your Telangana traffic e challans must be paid in full within 60 days after issuing. If not, your challan is delivered to the court for further action.
