FASTag Recharge – Online & Offline Methods

In India, it is compulsory for all vehicles, including private and commercial four-wheelers, to have a FASTag. This tag is affixed to the vehicle's windscreen and allows for the use of electronic toll payments at toll booths, using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology and a digital payment method.

However, to use FASTag, you need to ensure that it has sufficient balance to pay toll fees automatically when you pass through toll plazas. FASTag is linked to a prepaid account or wallet, and each time you use it to pay tolls, the fee is deducted from this balance. If your FASTag doesn't have enough funds, the toll payments will not get processed, which could lead to delays, fines, or even blacklisting of the tag. Regularly recharging your FASTag ensures a seamless and hassle-free driving experience on toll roads. Read on to know more about the ways to recharge FASTag.
