In case you violate a traffic rule, the traffic police issue a challan in your name. You need to pay the fine within a scheduled period, failure of which may result in stricter penalties being imposed on you.

There are various online channels which you can use to pay your traffic challan in Ahmedabad.
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan eChallan portal.
Step 2: On the menu section, click on 'Check Challan Status'.
Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: Provide the details of your challan number, driving licence number, or vehicle number. If you opt for vehicle number, then along with it provide either your chassis number or engine number.
Step 5: Enter the captcha code.
Step 6: Click on 'Get Details'.
Step 7: All the details of your challan/s will be showed under the 'Notice Board'.
Step 8: Choose a payment mode to complete the payment of challan. Once the payment is successful, save the receipt for future reference.
Step 1: Visit the Ahmedabad Traffic Police eChallan website.
Step 2: Enter your vehicle number in the box given.
Step 3: Click on 'Go'.
Step 4: Check the details of your challan and then click on 'Make Payment'.
Step 5: Choose a mode of payment of your choice and follow the instructions to complete the payment. Once the payment is successful, save the receipt for future reference.
Step 1: Open the Paytm app on your smartphone.
Step 2: On the home page, click on 'Show More' and then click on 'Recharge & Pay Bills'.
Step 3: From the options available, select 'Challan'.
Step 4: Select the traffic authority of the city in which you reside.
Step 5: Provide your challan number, driving licence number, or your registration certificate number.
Step 6: Click on 'Proceed'.
Step 7: The details of your challan will be reflected on your screen.
Step 8: Enter the fine amount you have to pay and choose a mode of payment - debit card, credit card, net banking, or Paytm UPI.
Step 9: Once the payment is done, save the receipt for future reference.

Step 2: Click on the 'Check online services' tab present on top-left corner of the page.
Step 3: Enter the details required, like challan number, driving licence number, etc.
Step 4: Enter the 'Captcha' code.
Step 5: Select 'Get Details' to check e-challan status.
Through Ahmedabad Traffic E-challan mobile app:
Step 1: Download the Ahmedabad Traffic E-challan app on your smartphone.
Step 2: Provide the necessary details and sign up on the application.
Step 3: Once you login on the portal, fill your vehicle number and other required details.
Step 4: Click on 'Get Challan Details'.
Follow the steps mentioned below to check if there is any challan on your vehicle in Ahmedabad:
Step 1: Visit the Parivahan eChallan portal.
Step 2: Click on the 'Check online services' tab present on top-left corner of the page.
Step 3: Enter the details required like driving licence number, etc.
Step 4: Enter the 'Captcha' code.
Step 5: Select 'Get Details' to check the status of your e-challan. If there is any challan against your name, it will reflect on the screen.
You should pay your challan within 60 days of it being levied.
If you are a first-time offender then you may have to pay a fine of Rs.300.
If you do not pay your challan on time, then an official from the traffic department would visit your address to collect the fine amount.
