If you have lost or misplaced your Aadhaar Card, the UIDAI has made it possible for all residents to acquire a duplicate card through a simple procedure. In case you do not know or are unsure of your Aadhaar number, or if you have lost or misplaced your acknowledgement slip, you will still be able to retrieve the Aadhaar card.
By following the steps outlined below, you can get a duplicate Aadhaar card if you have misplaced your Aadhaar card or if you don’t know your Enrolment ID or Aadhaar number.
Step 1 - Go to the official UIDAI official website.
Step 2 - You will be asked to choose the relevant option at the first instance:
a. ‘You want to receive your lost - Aadhaar Number (UID) or Enrolment Number (EID).
Step 3 - Next fill in your relevant personal details:
a. Full Name - Enter your full name in the space provided.
b. Email ID / Mobile Number - Enter your Email ID and Mobile Number (It is necessary to enter the Email ID or the Mobile Number that was given while applying for the aadhaar card in order to successfully retrieve the card).
Step 4 - Enter the 4 digit security code that is displayed on the screen.
Step 5 - Click on the OTP button.
Step 6 - After this you will receive an OTP (One Time Password) on the Email ID or the mobile number you provided.
Step 7 - Enter the OTP in the space provided.
Step 8 - Click on the ‘Verify OTP’ button.

Your Aadhaar card can be located if you've misplaced it or lost it through a number of UIDAI services. You can ask UIDAI to transmit your Aadhaar enrollment ID (EID) details to the registered cellphone number if you can't recall it. Through the UIDAI portal, you can also reapply for the Aadhaar card.
An actual, genuine copy of a unique identifying document is an Aadhaar card. The e-Aadhaar card, on the other hand, is a duplicate or printed copy of the Aadhaar card that is downloaded from the UIDAI website. 2. The e-Aadhaar card is only available in digital form; the Aadhaar card is only available in hard copy.
If the Aadhaar letter is misplaced or damaged, the resident can obtain an Aadhaar PVC card online from the UIDAI website for Rs.50. This card is delivered to the resident at the location listed in the Aadhaar database using India Post's rapid post service.
The downloaded Aadhaar card printout is equally valid as the UIDAI's original Aadhaar card.
Fraudsters can obtain digital fingerprints and download Aadhaar cards. Then they imprint thumb impressions on rubber using a thermal scanner, butter paper, mirror, thinner gel, glue, and image-enhancing chemicals.
The UIDAI website states that after you submit a request for an Aadhaar PVC Card, the UIDAI will deliver the card to the post office within 5 working days (exclusive of the date of the request) and it will be sent to your home by Speed Post.
