Step 1: You need to type a message in the format: <UIDAadhaar number><Account number>

Step 2: You need to send this message on ‘567676’ from your registered mobile number.

Step 3: You will receive a confirmation message regarding Aadhaar card linking on your registered mobile number.

Linking Bank Account with Aadhaar Through Mobile App

Step 1: Log in to your bank’s mobile application

Step 2: Click on the ‘Services’ tab.

Step 3: Look for ‘View/Update Adhaar card details’

Step 4: You will be asked to type your Aadhaar number twice.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Submit’ option.

Step 6: You will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number regarding the Aadhaar card link.

You can visit your bank’s nearest branch to raise a request for linking your Aadhaar card with your bank account. To do so, you will have to file a written request or submit a related form at the bank’s branch. Do carry your original Aadhaar card and a copy for verification purposes.

How to Check if Your Bank Account has been Linked to Your Aadhaar Card?

You will often receive an SMS on your registered cellphone number or email address from the bank informing you of the status.

You are unlikely to find any instructions on how to verify the status of your request on the UIDAI website if you intend to link your Aadhaar to your bank account. To find out if your account and Aadhaar have been linked, contact your bank.

Previously, however, you could check if your Aadhaar and your bank account were linked via the UIDAI website.

The steps that were followed in this process were:

Step 1:  Visit the official website at "https://uidai.gov.in/".

Step 2: You then had to navigate to the 'Aadhaar service' category and select 'Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking status'.

Step 3: After completing that, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar and the given captcha. Following that, your registered cellphone number would receive an OTP.

Step 4: On entering the OTP and logging in, a screen with the status of your request would be displayed.

Step 5: If the linking was successful, the page would read 'Congratulations! Your bank Aadhaar mapping is done'.

How to Check the Status of Linking Aadhaar Card with Bank Account?

There are multiple ways to check the status of an Aadhaar card linking with a bank account. Read on to know more about them:

Through the UIDAI website:

Step 1: You need to visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/bank-seeding-status

Step 2: Click on the option ‘Bank Seeding Status’

Step 3: You need to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit virtual ID

Step 4: Enter the security code

Step 5: Click on the ‘Sent OTP’ tab and you will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.

Step 6: You need to submit the OTP to check your Aadhaar linking status.

Through Phone Call:

Step 1: You need to dial *99*99*1# using your registered mobile number

Step 2: You need to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number twice

Step 3: Once you submit the number, you will receive the status of Aadhar card bank account linking

Through the mAadhaar App:

Step 1: You need to login on the mAadhaar app

Step 2: Click on the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab

Step 3: Click on the ‘Aadhaar Bank Account Link Status’

Step 4: Fill in your Aadhaar number and security code

Step 5: Click on ‘Request OTP’

Step 6: You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile. You need to enter the same.

Step 7: Click on ‘Verify’ to know the status of Aadhaar linking.

By visiting the Bank Branch

You need to visit the nearest branch of the bank where your account is linked with your Aadhaar card. Request the bank representative to check the Aadhaar linking status of your account. Provide the required details to know whether your Aadhaar is successfully linked with your bank account.
