Bank of Baroda (BOB) was established as early as 1908 and is one of the most renowned public sector banks in India. As part of its digital expansion initiative, Bank of Baroda has launched the Baroda MPay app - which is an easy-to-use application that is empowered by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) system.

Customers who use this app will be able to carry out financial transactions using a Virtual Payment Address (VPA). It will not be necessary to provide other details such as bank account number, IFSC code, mobile number, name of payee/beneficiary, etc. It is also not required to register the beneficiary/payee.

How to Register on the Bank of Baroda UPI App (MPay)?

The process involved in registering for the Baroda MPay app is pretty simple. Listed below is the stepwise process involved:

Step 1: Go to Google Play Store and download the Baroda MPay app.

Step 2: Now, if you are registering for the first time, click 'Register. For existing users, you will have to login.

Step 3: Fill in details such as name, email address. Select account, and create a VPA.

Step 4: Verify mobile number and choose a PIN and answer security questions.

How to Add Bank Account for Baroda MPay?

  1. Post the profile creation on the Baroda MPay app, go to the home page and login.
  2. Post this step, choose the 'Add Bank Account' options.
  3. Choose the name of your bank using the drop down menu.
  4. Choose the account number and set up VPA or go on to choose the default one.

How to Transfer Money Using UPI in Baroda MPay App?

  • Login to the Bank of Baroda MPay app and choose the 'UPI' feature.
  • Choose the option that allows you to send money through VPA.
  • Key in the VPA of the payee, amount and click 'Submit'.
  • Enter your UPI PIN to authenticate the transaction.
  • The fund transfer will be made on a real-time basis.

How to Collect or Receive Money via Baroda MPay?

  • Launch the app on your phone and login with all existing credentials.
  • Go to the option that allows you to initiate a collect request using VPA.
