• If you want the delivery to be before 8am and after 6pm to 8pm on a weekday, you will be charged Rs.50. 
• If you want the delivery between 8am to 6pm, you will be charged Rs.25. 
• If you want delivery on the weekends between 8am to 6pm, you will be charged Rs.25.

GST Rule and Its Effect on Domestic Cooking Gas

The new Goods and Services Tax(GST) has increased the price of domestic LPG cylinders starting 1 July 2017. Going forward, GST will be charged on all gas cylinder brought for domestic use and all other previously charges taxes like excise duty, surcharges, and service taxes will be eliminated.

Under the new GST rule, taxes are classified under 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, and 28% GST. All domestic LPG cylinders will fall under the 5% tax bracket which has increased the price of cooking gas across the country.

GST Effect on Domestic Indane Cylinders in India

As mentioned earlier, the prices of domestic Indane gas cylinders has increased after the implementation of the GST rule.

1. Indane gas customers can see an increase of up to Rs.32 per LPG cylinder depending on the state they reside in.
2. This is the steepest increase in domestic cooking gas prices since 2011.
3. Once the customer exhausts the 122 subsidised LPG cylinders that they are allowed to avail in one year, each additional cylinder will fall under the 18% tax bracket.
4. The services associated to issuing, maintaining, and inspecting gas cylinders have gone up as such services fall under the 18% GST bracket.
5. There were few states that were not charging taxes on domestic LPG cylinders before the GST rule.
6. These states as well will charge GST going forward and people in these states will witness an increase of Rs.12 to Rs.15 on their LPG gas prices.
