HP Gas LPG Connection

Customers who wish to avail of an HP Gas connection can do so through a number of options. HP Gas has made it easy for its customers to register and use its services, both offline and online.

Customers can use the hindustan petroleum online portal to register and make cylinder bookings.

Online New HP LPG Gas Connection

1. Customers who wish to register for an HP Gas connection can do so online by logging onto, the official website.
2. Once there, you can register for a connection by clicking on the “LPG (HP Gas)” tab.
3. Click on the “Apply Online” tab and you will be directed to a page where you can begin the registration process. You will be asked for your Distributor Name, which you can find using the ‘Dealer Locator’ link in the Quick Links section on the HP Gas page.
4. Once you have filled in the distributor’s name, you will be directed to an online application form. Once you have filled in the required details, click “submit”.
5. Ensure you have uploaded the supporting KYC documents (proof of identity, proof of address and photograph).
6. Choose your method of payment- you can pay through debit card, credit card or netbanking.
7. You will receive a confirmation message and your sign in details.
8. Sign in to your account on www.myhpgas.in and choose from the options provided- you can register yourself, book a cylinder as well as sign up for the LPG subsidy.

Offline New HP Gas LPG Connection

1. Customers who wish to register for an HP Gas connection offline can do so by visiting their nearest HP Gas distributor and collecting the form. You can also print the form from the HP Gas website and fill in the details.
2. Once you have filled up the form, submit it along with the KYC documents (photograph, identity proof and address proof) to the distributor.
3. You can choose to pay the registration fee either through debit card, credit card, netbanking or cash/cheque.
4. You will be provided with an acknowledgement and receipt for your payment, and you can book your cylinder.

New HP Gas Connection Documents

Those applying for a new connection will be required to submit certain documents along with the application form. These documents are known as KYC documents (Know Your Customer) and are used for the purpose of verification. The KYC documents to be submitted are mentioned below:

1. Photograph

Proof of Address Documents

Any of the below mentioned documents can be submitted as address proof when applying for a new gas connection:

1. Aadhaar Card
2. Bank statement
3. Passport
4. Voter identity card
5. Driver’s licence
6. Ration card
7. LIC policy
8. Lease agreement
9. Telephone/water /electricity bills
10. Home registration documents
11. Declaration of applicant’s address by a Gazetted officer
12. Flat/apartment possession letter

Proof of identity documents

Any one of the below mentioned documents can be submitted as identity proof when applying for a new gas connection:

1. Passport
2. Permanent Account Number (PAN) card
3. Driving licence
4. Aadhaar card
5. ID proof issued by State or Central Government
6. Voter identity card

Procedure for Booking HP Gas

After you have registered on the HP gas website or by visiting a distributor, you can apply for a new cylinder or book a refill for your gas cylinder. HP Gas provides its customers with a number of options, and you can choose one that is the most convenient for you.

Online HP Gas Refill Booking

You can book your cylinder or a cylinder refill online, wherever you are by simply signing in to your HP Gas account. All you have to do is sign in and select the “Book Your Cylinder” option. You will be taken to a page where you can input the date you wish your refill cylinder to be delivered. You will receive an acknowledgement and a confirmation once your cylinder has been delivered.

Offline HP Gas Refill Booking

HP Gas has provided its customers with various options when it comes to offline refill cylinder booking. You can choose the option that is the most convenient for you from the ones given below:

Via IVRS: IVRS is an Interactive Voice Response System. As an HP Gas customer, you can use this to book your refill cylinder. This service is available round the clock, 365 days a year. The procedure for booking is given below:

For Registered Customers:

1. If you have registered your telephone/mobile number with HP Gas, all you have to do is call on the IVRS number for your particular state/Union territory.
2. Confirm your customer number and choose the appropriate option for refill booking.
3. You will be assigned an order number, which you are requested to note down for future reference.

In the case of calls made through a mobile number, you will receive an SMS with the order number. You will also receive an SMS with the cylinder cost (subsidized or non-subsidized).

For Un-registered Customers:

1. If you have not registered their telephone or mobile numbers with HP Gas, you can call on the IVRS number for your state/Union Territory and choose your language option.
2. You will then have to enter your local HP Gas distributor’s landline number (without the STD code).
3. You will then have to enter your customer number.
4. Select the option for gas cylinder refill.
5. The system will assign you a booking number, which you are requested to note down.
6. The system will ask if you wish to register the number.
7. If you wish to register the number, press 1. In future, this will be your default number for gas booking.

Via SMS: You can book a refill cylinder through SMS, simply by registering your mobile number with HP Gas.

1. You can do this by sending HP (space) distributor phone number with STD code (space) consumer number to the HP ANY TIME number for your state.
2. Once you have registered, you can book a cylinder refill by sending “HPGAS” to the HP ANY TIME number for your State/Union territory.
3. You will receive an SMS confirming the booking along with your order number.
4. Once the cylinder has been delivered to you, you will receive a cash memo detailing the delivery date and amount paid.

Via Mobile App (for Android and iPhone): You can also refill your cylinder through a mobile app specially designed for this purpose. You can also register a complaint, check your order history and surrender your connection through the app.

1. You can download the app, called “HPGAS” from Play Store.
2. You will be asked to activate the app once it has been downloaded. You can do this by entering the following details:
   1. Distributor code
   2. Mobile number
   3. Consumer code
3. Click Submit. You will then receive an SMS with your activation code. Enter the code and your account will be active.
4. You will also be asked for a security code, which will have to be entered every time you use the app for any transaction/booking.
5. After activation, you can refill your cylinder by selecting the option. You will receive a confirmation with your order number.

Registering for LPG Subsidy (PAHAL)

The Government of India provides its citizens with a subsidy for those who cannot afford the market price of an LPG cylinder. This subsidy can be availed by all individuals who are eligible for the same.

As per the subsidy scheme, known as the PAHAL scheme, individuals who have applied for the subsidy will receive the money directly in their registered bank accounts. This has been implemented in order to prevent the misuse of subsidy funds, and to ensure that individuals receive their subsidy amount.

The government has also introduced a scheme where the Aadhaar card is linked to the subsidy, making it easier for the individuals as well as the government to ensure that individuals receive the subsidy amount.

Those without Aadhaar cards can also avail of the subsidy, as mentioned below:

Aadhaar-Linked LPG Subsidy Registration

Individuals who wish to link their LPG subsidy through Aadhaar can do so by following the steps given below:

• Link your registered bank account to your Aadhaar card by printing Form 1 as listed on the www.petroleum.nic.in website. Fill in the required details and submit the form in your local LPG distributor’s drop box or at the bank branches as specified on the website.
• Next, link your LPG consumer number to your Aadhaar card through any of the below methods:
  • Phone: By calling and registering
  • Through submitting Form 2 (which can be downloaded on the site) to your local LPG distributor
  • Post: By posting Form 2 with the attached documents to the address mentioned on the form
  • SMS: By either sending an SMS or using the IVRS facility.

You will receive an acknowledgement once your Aadhaar card has been successfully linked to your LPG number.

Non-Aadhaar LPG Subsidy Registration

Customers who do not have an Aadhaar card can use either of the two methods stated below to register for the LPG subsidy:

• By submitting details of your bank account:
  • You can submit Form 4 (downloadable from the www.petroleum.nic.in website) to your local HO Gas distributor in person.
  • You can log on to www.mylpg.in and enter the relevant details.
• You can download Form 3 (downloadable from the www.petroleum.nic.in website) and enter your 17 digit unique LPG Customer ID and submit this information to your bank.
