Sweden Visa on Arrival for Indians

List Of Documents Required To Apply For A Tourist Visa

1. A passport valid with 6 months validity from date of arrival in Sweden. You will also need old passports if any.
2. Visa Application forms.
3. A cover letter from the applicant that introduces himself/herself and mentions the purpose of the visit. The letter should also specify the duration of the visit.
4. Two recently taken photographs with white background matte finish. It should have 80% face size. The size of the photo should be 35X45mm
5. A day-to-day itinerary of the visit.
6. A copy of your confirmed hotel bookings for the entire duration in Sweden.
7. Flight reservation of return air tickets.
8. Overseas Travel and Medical Insurance
9. Income tax returns or Form 16 for the last 3 years.
10. Saving Bank Statements for the last 6 months with decent balance (original)
11. Salary Slips for last 3 months - if employed.
12. Leave Letter from Employer / School / University (original)
13. In case you are a retired person - Retire proof /Pension order
14. In case you are self-employed - Business Registration proof - Shop Act, Deed, MOA etc.
15. In case you are a student - Student ID and a Bonafide letter
16. In case you are a minor traveling alone or with one parent - A consent letter from parents or legal authority.

Visa Fees: Rs.4,800 and VFS Service Fee: Rs.1,020 (Inclusive of Goods & Service Tax -SGST @9% and CGST@9%)

List of Documents Required to Apply for a Business Visa

1. A passport valid for 6 months from the date of arrival in Sweden along with old passports if any.
2. Visa Application forms.
3. Two recently taken photographs with white background matte finish. It should have 80% face size. The size of the photo should be 35X45mm.
4. Vouchers of your confirmed hotel booking.
5. Confirmed return air tickets.
6. A cover letter that contains - Name and designation of the applicant and also of the signatory (of managerial or executive level) with signature certifying that applicant will be visiting the Swedish company. It should also have a day-to-day itinerary along with the purpose of the visit, names and addresses of the companies he/she intends to visit.
7. An invitation letter that contains - Name of the applicant invited, purpose of visit, total days of the intended stay and the dates of visit.
8. A copy of Indian Company registration such as. Shop Act, MOA, Deed.
9. Saving Bank Statements for the last 6 months with sufficient balance (original). The statements must have a bank seal and signature on it.
10. Overseas travel medical insurance.
11. Income tax returns or Form 16 for last 3 years.
12. Salary slips for last 3 months - if employed
13. Employment contract if any.

List Of Documents Required To Apply For A Family/Friend Visa

1. Original passport with 6 months validity from date of arrival in Sweden along with old passports if any.
2. Visa Application forms.
3. Two recently taken photographs with white background matte finish. It should have 80% face size. The size of the photo should be 35X45mm.
4. A cover letter from the applicant that contains self-introduction along with the purpose of duration.
5. Day-to-Day itinerary of the visit in Sweden.
6. Your confirmed air tickets.
7. Overseas Travel Insurance.
8. Income tax returns or Form 16 for last 3 years.
9. Personal bank statements for the last 6 months updated with sufficient balance (original)
10. Salary Slips for last 3 months - if employed.
11. Original Leave Letter from Employer or School or University.
12. In case you are a retired person - Retire proof or Pension order
13. In case you are self-employed - Company registration proof such as Shop Act, Deed, MOA etc.
14. In case you are a student - Student ID and a Bonafide letter

List of Documents Required for a Sweden Family and Friends Visa

1. Relationship proof certificate if visiting family members.
2. Passport and Visa copies.
3. Appendix E Form.

Visa Processing Time

The processing time for all the Sweden Visa application is 10-12 calendar days from the day the application was submitted to VFS Global in New Delhi. For applications submitted to other VFS Global besides New Delhi, it takes additional two days for postal deliveries. You can also track your application from the VFS Global website.

Important Notes

1. The submission of the visa application can be done either by the applicant or by a representative.
2. Third party collection of passports from the visa center is allowed only for immediate family members of the applicant such as parents, siblings and children. In case of a government official, the person needs to have an authorized letter on government letter head or department.
