The following is the list of documents needed to check the status of caste certificate for the categories, such as SC, ST, or OBC:

1. Changed certificate number
2. Old certificate number
3. Issuing year
4. Issuing authority
5. Name
6. Date of Issuance
7. Caste certificate application number (required to check the application status online at castcertificatewb.gov.in)

How to Apply for a Certificate of SC, ST, or OBC?

The following are the steps to apply for caste certificate for the categories, such as SC, ST, or OBC:

1. Click on the link
2. Select the district for which you are applying for
3. Select the sub-division
4. Select Municipality or Block you wish to apply for
5. Choose the name form the list
6. Select the category for which you wish to have the certificate for, either SC, ST, or OBC
7. Select from list whatever applicable, either Caste, Tribe, or Community
8. Enter the applicant’s name
9. Enter the applicant’s father name
10. Enter applicant’s mobile number and email address
11. Enter Aadhar card number and date of birth of the applicant
12. Select district and police station from the list
13. Enter the name of the village or city of the applicant’s birth

After completing the above procedures, you need to follow the below steps to specify your address:

1. Click the Get PS Button icon after choosing the district
2. Choose the police station of your district
3. Enter General Practitioner’s or Name Ward Number
4. Enter Your Village, Para, House Number, or Road Number
5. Enter the post office name in your locality
6. Enter the Pincode
7. Ensure that the provided address is the same as that of the permanent address

The following are some more details regarding other details, such as:

1. Select the applicant’s religion
2. Select the gender
3. Enter the blood relation information of the paternal side if you want to
4. Enter the certificate holder’s name, who is in blood relation with the applicant
5. Mention the relationship of the candidate with the certificate holder
6. Enter the certificate number of the certificate holder
7. Enter the issuance date
8. Select the issuing authority
9. Enter the Referee-Name and Address of I
10. Enter the Referee-Name and Address of II
11. Choose ‘Is the applicant or his family a native of another state or country?’
12. Provide all necessary information of migration if ‘Yes’
13. Click on ‘Save and Continue’ button
