Summary of Digit Two Wheeler-Insurance Coverage

Covered

Not Covered

Zero Depreciation Cover The required depreciation amount is taken when you register a claim. A zero-depreciation cover makes sure that no depreciation is taken into account. You get the full value of the cost of your damages.

Own Damages for Third-Party Policy holder If there is a third-party or liability only bike policy, the damages to own vehicle will not be covered.

Return to Invoice Cover If your bike is stolen or you have damages beyond repair, this feature will help you. With return to invoice, Digit covers the costs including the road tax and also the registration fees.

Drunk Riding or without a Licence and Add-ons not Bought Your bike insurance claim will not be accepted if you were intoxicated while driving.

Engine and Gear-box Protection Cover In a two-wheeler insurance policy, only damages that are caused during the accident will be covered. This feature covers the engine and gearbox for consequential damages caused after the accident. This can happen because of leakage of lubricating oil, water regression, and undercarriage damage.

Driving without a valid Driving Licence holder If you have a learner's licence and drive the two-wheeler without a valid licence-holder (pillion seat), your claim will not be covered. In a few cases, the add-ons are covered, but you have to let the insurance company know before you renew the policy. If you have not bought those add-ons, the corresponding situations will not be covered.

Consumable Cover The consumable cover feature covers the costs of screws, engine oils, bolts, nut, and grease.

Consequential Damages and Contributory Negligence All damages that are not a direct result of the accident. For example, after an accident, if the two-wheeler was used incorrectly and the engine is damaged. A contributory negligence includes damage like driving a two-wheeler in a flood.
